Approved by the State council of the People's Republic of China, and aimed to serve the whole world and with a view to go globally, China Yiwu International Commodities fair(Yiwu Fair)is an international exhibition of daily consumer goods. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, and is held from Oct.22 to Oct.26 annually in Yiwu.
There are 4,000 booths of international standards in a floor space of 90,000 m2. It is the largest daily commodities fair on scale. Various industries, including stationery, sports and outdoor items, toys, kintgoods, foootwear and headwear, cosmetics and lavatory articles , hardware, electronic and electric appliances, cases and bags, leather products, ornaments and fittings, arts&crafts, home appliances, web information, will be displayed in this exhibigion. Each year, the visitors of the fair amount to 100,000. Over-seas participants surpass 15,000, only next to the Canton Fair and East China Fair. 40%of thoseoverseas participants are from developed sountries. Foreign trade volume accounts for over 60%.
During the Yiwu fair, activities such as Internat-ional Market Seminar and Purchase-matching Meeting for Multinational Retailing Groups will be held to provide more valuable information and abundant business opportunities to the visitors. It is becoming a green channel for businessmen to grab market shares home and abroad.
